Buying guides and articles
- What Is BarTender Label Software, and Which Edition Do You Need?BarTender is label design and printing software from Seagull Software. It designs barcode labels, RFID tags and cards, pulls data from databases and business systems, and automates printing. Over 250,000 companies use it, and it supports over 12,000 printer drivers. Editions range from Starter for one designer to Enterprise for controlled, multi-site printing.
- Which Barcode Printer Do You Need? Desktop vs Industrial vs Mobile, and Thermal Transfer vs Direct ThermalPick the printer class by volume and location: desktop for low to medium volumes at a counter or office, industrial for high-volume work in harsh settings, and mobile for printing on the shop floor or at a customer's door. Then choose direct thermal for short-life labels and thermal transfer for durable ones.
- How Can Clinics, Schools and Campuses Keep Track of Equipment?Tag each item with a barcode or RFID label, record every loan, transfer and service in one asset register, and check stock with a handheld instead of paper. A system such as ZOVYX adds reminders for calibration and warranties, while ePaper signs keep notices and directions current without reprinting.
