What is SOTI MobiControl?
SOTI MobiControl is an enterprise mobility management (EMM) system. It shows where a business’s mobile devices are, what they are doing, how they are performing and what security or compliance risks they face, and lets IT act on that from one console.
It works across Android, iOS, macOS, Windows and Linux, and with devices from any manufacturer, including Zebra, Honeywell, Samsung and Panasonic. Typical uses include:
- Enrolment: Android zero-touch enrolment, Samsung KME, Zebra StageNow, Apple DEP and Windows Autopilot, or a QR code for Android Enterprise devices.
- Lockdown: restrict a device to the apps and websites staff need for work.
- Shared devices: let several shifts share one pool of devices.
- Apps and updates: manage business apps, and for Zebra devices, update the OS and firmware over the air.
- Geofences: allow features only when a device is inside a set location.
MobiControl runs in SOTI’s cloud, as a single-tenant instance, or on your own servers.
What do SOTI XSight, Snap and Connect add?
- SOTI XSight is SOTI’s support and diagnostics tool. It gives IT staff device analytics, real-time alerts, remote control and live text, voice and video chat with the user. It works alongside MobiControl and needs a MobiControl system to run.
- SOTI Snap creates cross-platform mobile apps for iOS and Android that turn paper forms, surveys and workflows into digital ones. Apps can be built with Blockly and can work offline. Snap itself is a cloud service.
- SOTI Connect manages mobile and industrial printers through their whole lifecycle, with firmware updates, dashboards, a rules engine and device logs. SOTI lists printer makers including Zebra, SATO, TSC Auto ID, Brother and Epson.
