The WS501 is Zebra’s all-in-one Android wearable computer for the most scan-intensive jobs: order picking, put-away, loading and unloading. Workers wear one device instead of a host mobile computer plus a ring scanner.
It builds on the WS50 with a Qualcomm QC2290 processor, 3 GB RAM/32 GB Flash, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. The 2 in. AMOLED touchscreen and two programmable buttons handle tasks and push-to-talk; the battery is hot-swappable.
It has two wearing styles, on two fingers or on the back of the hand, and the protective front shell can be replaced on site.
Typical uses are warehousing and manufacturing (sorting, put-away, picking, loading/unloading, task management) and transportation and logistics (sorting, loading/unloading).
